Už dlouho mě žádný videoklip tak nedostal jako The Stars (Are Our Tonight) od Davida Bowieho. Především obsazení je úžasné. Kromě vždy skvělého Davida Bowieho zde předvádí perfektní herecké i fashion kreace herečka Tilda Swinton a model(ky) Andrej Pejic and Saskia de Brauw. David s Tildou zde představují spokojený manželský pár, do jejichž soukromí se postupně vkradou dvě hudební celebrity, které svou stylizací v některých scénách nápadně připomínají Davida Bowieho zamlada. Například ve scéně zpěvu u stěny Andrej Pejic (muž->žena) svou dokonalou androgynní vizáží dokonale imituje mladého Davida Bowieho se zlatavě zrzavou kšticí. Skvěle ho/ji ;) doplňuje Saskia de Brauw (žena->muž) v černém pánském obleku s krátkými uhlazenými vlasy. Obtěžování manželského páru se stupňuje, přidává se svádění a snové polibky. Režii klipu měla na starosti avantgardní Floria Sigismondi, která s Bowiem spolupracovala již na klipech k Little Wonder a Dead Man Walking z alba Earthling (1997).
Pro úplnost musím říct, že The Stars (Are Out Tonight) je po klidnější Where Are We Now? druhým singlem z nové desky The Next Day, kterou David Bowie vydal po téměř desetileté pauze 11. března.
