Arcade Fire | Afterlife (lyric video)

Vím, že se budu opakovat, ale jako srdcovej fanoušek montrealské bandy Arcade Fire musím říct, že čekání na nové album je k nevydržení :) Už zbývá jen necelé 3 dny než 28. října album Reflektor vyjde. Do té doby si můžeme stále dokola přehrávat empétrojku s dokonalým singlem Reflektor s hostujícím Davidem Bowiem či se dívat na jeho klip od Antona Corbijna. No a teď máme možnost se opájet další skladbou. Jmenuje se Afterlife a Arcade Fire k ní před pár dny vypustili jen lyric video, tedy video obsahující i text v obraze. A opět je to trefa do černého. Jak hudebně, krásně roztančené ale přesto arcadefireovské, tak po stránce textu, který pěkně koresponduje s videoklipem, který vypráví řecký mytologický příběh o Orfeovi a Eurydice, kde Orfeus musí zachránit z Hádova podsvětí svou milovanou zemřelou Euridiku. Protože to ale není původní video, ale jen lyric video, tak obraz je sestříhám z filmu z roku 1959 Black Orpheus (Černý Orfeus), který je zasazen do Ria de Janeira padesátých let. Původně jsem myslel, že se jedná o Haity, které by bylo pro Arcade Fire příznačné, navíc také proto, že celá deska čerpala jako jednu z inspirací v haitské rara hudbě.
Takže nastavte si na přehrávači replay, zmáčkněte play a už jen poslouchejte, vychutnávejte...
